The American Red Cross provides immediate disaster relief to any person affected by disaster, such as natural disaster, single-family fire, etc. regardless of age, gender or cultural background.

Area Congregations in Ministry (ACIM):
ACIM is a non-profit foood pantry with a mission, "To relieve hunger in Granville County." They provide food and non-food items to people in need and provides limited services to assist with temporary shelter, referrals and medical or utility bills when possible.

Back Pack Buddies (3 Granville County Locations):
Back Pack Buddies provides for those children and families who face food insecurity, especially on weekends when school meals are not available.

Butner Church Council Food Pantry:
The Butner Church Council Food Pantry is a local pantry serving the communities of Butner and Stem, NC. In addition to food, they also assist with gently used clothing, personal hygiene items and baby supplies.

Harbour House Outreach Ministries:
provides safe, overnight emergency shelter during extreme cold or severe weather conditions. When a White Flag event is activated, individuals and families experiencing homelessness can access warm shelter, basic necessities, and a supportive environment until conditions improve.

Lifeline Outreach, Inc.:
Lifeline Outreach provides shelter for women and children in crisis.They also operate a food pantry to provide food to those in need as well as a thrift store.

Connect Granville:
A grassroots effort to digitally connect the residents of Granville County in the event of an emergency. A Granville County United Way initiative, Connect Granville has partnered with Granville County Emergency Services to notify local residents of the potential for bad wether, lost children and adults, single-family fires, accidents, etc. and broadcast messages through social media .

Community Support Center at Masonic Home for Children-Oxford:
The Community Support Center exists to provide resources and serve as a support hub for families throughout our community. In collaboration with Granville County United Way, FGV Smart Start, Baptist Children's Home Foster Care and Adoption Services, the American Red Cross, Parents as Teachers (PATs), and the Granville Education Foundation, the Center works to ensure that families have access to the services they need. The Center actively identifies the current needs of families and partners with on-site agencies and other organizations to connect them with appropriate resources. Through coordinated efforts, the Community Support Center helps put essential services in place to address both immediate and ongoing needs.

A free, confidential service that helps North Carolina residents find local resources for housing, food, healthcare, utilities, and other essential needs. Available 24/7, you can dial 2-1-1 to speak with a trained specialist or search services online. NC 211 also provides important information during emergencies and natural disasters.

Boy Scouts | Parents of Scouting:
Provide youth with opportunities to develop leadership, character, and outdoor skills through Cub Scouts and Scouts BSA programs. The program encourages personal growth, teamwork, and a lifelong commitment to serving others.

Provides programs that foster leadership, character development, STEM skills, outdoor adventure, and entrepreneurship. Through participation in local troops and council-run camps, girls gain opportunities to learn, grow, and serve their communities.

Granville Education Foundation:
A nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting student achievement in Granville County Schools. It provides grants for innovative teaching, scholarships for graduating seniors, and recognition for outstanding educators. All funds raised directly enhance educational programs and opportunities for students across the county.

OUMC Summer Literacy Program:
The Summer Literacy Program offers evidence‑based, small-group reading instruction for rising 1st–4th graders in need of reading support. With a low student-teacher ratio, licensed instructors, and wraparound services (meals, family engagement, enrichment), the program helps prevent summer learning loss and strengthens reading skills.

Parents as Teacher (PATs):
A national home‑visiting program that supports families with children from prenatal through age five. In Granville County, PAT provides parents with guidance on child development, health, and early learning. Trained parent educators visit homes regularly to offer resources, activities, and support to ensure children enter school healthy, ready to learn, and with strong family foundations.

A nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting the healthy development and early education of children from birth to age five. The organization provides programs and resources for families, child care providers, and educators, focusing on early learning, health, and family support to ensure children are prepared for school and life success.
