Granville County United Way celebrated a successful 2014
fundraising campaign at South Granville Country Club on
April 23, 2015. Thanks to our generous donors, we exceeded our community goal by nearly $20,000.
Two outgoing board members, Joe Gonenc/Altec
Industries and Sandy Hicks/Revlon were recognized for their
service and support of local United Way efforts.
Doug Logan/Granville County Fire Marshall and Emergency Management Director was recognized as the 2014 GCUW Volunteer of the Year. Mr. Logan oversees Granville County United Way's Connect Granville
initiative: a grass roots effort to digitally connect the residents of Granville County in the event of an emergency.
Jeff Grigg/2013 and 2014 GCUW Campaign Manager and employee of Bridgestone Commercial Solutions was awarded the 2014 Beacon Award for his commitment and service to GCUW
and Granville County.
Mr. Grigg then presented 4 annual awards:
2014 Largest Campaign Award - Altec Industries, Altec employees contributed $140,340 to GCUW.
2014 Corporate Spirit Award - Sante Fe Natural Tobacco Company
2014 Largest Per Capita Award - Altec Industries
2014 Employee Spirit Award - Bridgestone Commercial Solutions
