Agencies or organizations that would like to apply for United Way funding for the fiscal year beginning July 1, 2022 should contact the Granville County United Way office at 919-693-5205. Completed applications are due to the United Way office by 3:00 pm on Tuesday, February 8, 2022.
The Allocations Committee will review all applications and schedule an opportunity for each agency to make a presentation to a volunteer Citizen Review Panel in mid March. The Allocations Committee and members of review panels will meet to review applications and presentations and make a recommendation to the Board of Directors at their April meeting.
The agency application packet includes information regarding the allocations philosophy and guidelines as set by the Board of the Granville County United Way. Agencies that request funding must supply proof of their tax-exempt status, give a brief program description and provide a detailed budget request and budget history as well as an audit or financial review.
The Granville County United Way currently funds 19 local human service programs and agencies. Assistance is available for any agency regarding completion of the application or questions regarding the potential of their agency or program to qualify for United Way funding. Anyone with questions should contact Brenda Dickerson-Daniel, Executive Director at the United Way office, 693-5205
