2017 Annual Meeting and Awards Recognition Dinner

Granville County United Way held its 2017 Annual Meeting and Awards Recognition Dinner at First Baptist Church Creedmoor on Thursday, May 11, 2017. Church members provided a delicious meal. Following dinner, Reverend Dr. Omotolokun Omokunde, GCUW President, presided over the meeting.

GCUW recognized:

  • Altec Industries/Creedmoor (2016 Largest Campaign Award and Largest Per Capita Award - with $150,000 in employee contributions).
  • Bridgestone Commercial Solutions - 2016 Corporate Spirit Award
  • Dill Air - 2016 Employee Spirit Award

Granville County United Way also recognized outgoing Board President, Donnie Boyd, for 6 years of service. Mr. Boyd also received the 2016 Volunteer of the Year Award in recognition of his service to our United Way and our community.

Havanna Keeton was awarded the 2016 Beacon Award. Havanna is passionate about serving needs in our community and champions others to volunteer and make a difference.

Congratulations to all our award recipients! Thanks to all who supported local United Way efforts, GCUW exceeded our 2016 goal by $10,592.
